United Nations Oil For Food Scandal

Some pundits, political office holders, and specific media outlets seek to place blame & guilt on U.N. Secretary General Koffi Anan for the oil For Food Scandal. However investigations that are being led by the United States have yet to find an once of evidence that Anan was involved or even aware of these kick backs being taking by U.N. officials from business interest across the globe.

Charges and indictments however have been brought against others. Some of which are United States citizens from Texas involved in the Oil industry. Being this would precisely describe President George W. Bush. Bush is more heavily involved in the Oil for Food Scandal as Koffi Anan.

Allegations made against Sec. General Koffi Anan must end until the appropriate investigative bodies bring charges against him, which to date, there have been zero.

My Opinion:
Sen. Bill Frist is experiencing a severe back lash from the right because of his support for Stem Cell Research. Frist’s presidential credibility, honesty & sincerity will all be greatly challenged if he decides to run for president. He is turning out to be a follower of the polls and a flip flopper to an extent greater than Former Dem. Presidential Candidate John Kerry.

Reaction to John Bolton’s Recess Appointment

We the People, had all hoped to see President G.W. Bush nominate an American of character to the United Nations. A person that believes in international cooperation versus U.S. domination on matters of War, Peace, and Humanitarian Aid. To no surprise our President has let us down once again.

My message now is simple, and takes only a bit of common sense to understand. As seen with the War in Iraq, the United States demanding domination of the U.N. is setting ourselves up for failure. This is precisely what John Bolton seeks to do within the United Nations. It is fact the U.N. is the best forum for All countries, weak & powerful, to come together for the good of humanity.

America & the World is at War, and the last thing we need is an Ambassador to the U.N. that does have the confidence of the Senate and therefore he does not have the support of citizens of the United States of America.

The appointment of John Bolton is not a disputed issue between Republicans and Democrats, but it is another bad decision by President George W. Bush. This issue deals with our National Security, protecting our homes, our families and our children from Terrorist not pushing an ideological agenda. We need a different caliber of American to represent our nation and our people at the United Nations, than John Bolton.

President Bush through his policy and the people he has working for him, point blank is saying he is corrupt and does not give a damn about the repercussions of the abuses and unethical behavior that happen on his watch. He does not give a damn about the repercussions of the image he is portraying and its effect on our nation and on our children. He has appointed John Bolton who has been accused of intimidating and seeking to have fired government officials that disagreed with his ideas. Karl Rove is involved in the leaking of the name of a CIA agent working in counter terrorism because her husband Fmr. Ambassador Joe Wilson disagreed with administration assertions that Iraq was purchasing nuclear material from Africa.

Because of such moves by President Bush I predict the American people may be left with no choice but to expand the boundaries of our democracy and call for an untraditional, unconventional, and historic change within this specific Bush lead Executive Arm of our government. How do we make this call? We can revolt non-violently, we can push the democratic process via investigations and impeachment through Congress, we can organize a mass campaign consisting of petitions, TV Ads and other pressures towards a Bush/Cheney resignation. We can do the entire above, but we must do something!

President Bush will now have to expend needed political capital to counter the public's outcry to see 3 of his groupies FIRED: John Bolton, Karl Rove, and Paul Wolfowitz.

The Progressive, Liberal, and Democratic communities now must wage a political and ideological War with the Neo-Cons and Republicans. We must not waver on the following issues, ranked in order of how WE (citizens, activist, journalist, non-profits, political organizations) should allocate our resources.

1) Social Security
2) The War in Iraq
3) Karl Rove
4) John Bolton
5) President Bush’s Impeachment b) Dick Cheney’s Impeachment
6) Paul Wolfvfowitz

CNN Reports:
http://www.cnn.com/2005/POLITICS/08/01/bolton.appointment/index.html

My Opinion: If we allow for such patterns of behavior to continue unchecked within our government, communities, and businesses America will become a breeding ground for liars, cheaters, and corruption. The next Sodom & Gomorra. And all this brought about by a proclaimed “conservative” President G.W. Bush embracing some form of Christianity not recognizable by God himself.

21) Mitt Romney-R
22) Wesley Clark

Honorable Mentions:
Colin Powell-R
Arnold Schwarzenegger-R
Dick Cheney-R
Jesse Jackson-D
Barbara Boxer-D

My Opinion: 2008 Politics will be dominated y 4 states: Californian, Texas, Florida, and New York. I am confident that I have compiled a nearly accurate listing of the contenders for the President, and can speak with a +/_ 4% margin of error that the next President of the U.S. is among this list of 27 names. As the race evolves I will continue to update my listing, adding qualifications and stances on the issues until there is only 1. This list does not account for the numerous other candidates that will compete through the primaries. These are the best of the best, only those qualified to Hold the Office are listed. As I cast my vote in 2008 one of my biggest concerns shall be the Integrity & Character of our next President. Having experience as a candidate myself I understand clearly that amongst the games of politics it is this that shall guide the decisions made in the Oval Office. In my opinion there are 4 persons that continue to show satisfactory Integrity & Character and that is Hilary Clinton, John McCain, Barbara Boxer and Colin Powell. These 4 people may all be too polarizing for the comfort of the American people but in a fantasy world void of Republicans and Democrats either of these citizens would be worthy of the greatest Office and call to Service of America.

Deterioration within the Christian Church

Its Time to Make a Change

This deterioration is from the top down. I write as lay person who sees a clear and ever metastasizing cancer festering and tearing down the sanctity of our scared Christian Church. My observation is very simple. The pastors of our churches or not humble. Nor to the majority of Christian leaders appear to possess any qualities of humbleness. We the lay people of the Church have seemed to no longer require this once necessary character trait for the leaders of our churches. Charismatic Pastors and the blossom of mega churches creating celebrity clergymen is becoming a severe problem. The Mega Church in concept is not the problem, but Christian principals and values that are being placed aside in lou of the pleasure and excitement found in these churches. Those theologians that truly respect the role of the Christian Church know of what I speak. For is there is one thing the Church must guard against, these " worldly pleasures" encroaching upon the walls of our sanctuaries.

This lack of humbleness is leading to several spiritual disasters for the Church. I would even state this is just another of many tools of our primordial adversary to infiltrate and destroy our Church. It is also disheartening to see that our 21st Century Pastors are reluctant to actually quote the Bible. No self help book can replace the word of God. If 1/3 of Angels of the Kingdom of Heaven can Fall, then so can the Christian Churches of the United States of America.

What Must We Do?

1) We Must Not Stray from the Example of Jesus Christ, for what is the desire of a Christian? I believe it is to be more like Christ. And there is no more example of humility than Jesus Christ. He walked with the poor, ministered to prostitutes, and washed the feet of the filthy.

2) Our Pastors and Churches Must Stay out of Politics: from Rev. Berry Lin to Rev. Jesse Jackson to Rev. Pat Roberts. It is your call to lead the Church, nothing more. Politics is a corrupt profession, and it is not the role of a Christian Pastor to be actively involved in both simultaneously. The call to lead the church and to save souls is more important than leading the nation. However it is the role of the Pastor to give direction, ethical restriction, and counsel to these political leaders. Furthermore by law the United States has a separation of Church and State. A line whose boundaries are presently becoming far too murky for my comfort. The Bible warns against and tells us to be watchful of identities like world churches and world governments. The Protestant faiths especially should be weary of any such institutions for it indicates the possible rise of the Anti Christ.

3) The Bible speaks of seven Churches in the End Times. One of these is the called the Church of Philadelphia. Rev: 3:7. In my opinion this speaks of a period of a False Church where many calling themselves Christians belong, but they are the very opposite. During this time there will be a small quantity of true Christians that shall lead the way the for the coming of Christ and they shall alone inherit the kingdom of God.

"These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open. 8 I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name. 9 I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews though they are not, but are liars--I will make them come and fall down at your feet and acknowledge that I have loved you. 10 Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come upon the whole world to test those who live on the earth. 11 I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown. 12 Him who overcomes I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will he leave it. I will write on him the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on him my new name. 13 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. Rev 3:7-13

Listen to the last verse. We as Christians should hold firm when we hear the Spirit of God and take head to the message. Notice that God calls these False Christians “liars“, and belonging to the “synagogue of Satan“. The many 21st Century Pastors that rarely can be seen quoting the Bible therefore do not emphasize the necessity for integrity. What is the primary tool the Devil/Satan’s? From my understanding it is deception/lying. And this is why Millions of you that call yourselves Christians are actually in service of the Devil. Fortunately, it only takes a prayer prompted by a change in heart, mind, & soul to be back on Gods side. The Word of God warns us to be watchful of the matters evolving in our Churches. We cannot continue to allow for this deterioration especially within these Mega Churches which are the face of Christianity to the World. I do speak with authority " inspiration" on these matters and as a Christian I pray this message will be well received.

THE WEAK SHALL WIN THE IRAQ WAR

I sincerely write about this topic not in hope nor anticipation of my country, the United States loosing the Wars in Iraq, Afghanistan and on Terror. As a Democracy it is the duty of American citizens to entertain such a discussion to assure our victory over Terror.

In addition to the following excerpts from the essay How the Weak Win Wars , because of the situation we find ourselves in under the leadership of President George W. Bush , America must also discuss the following:
1) The Motives for Going to War
2) Justifications of the Iraq War
3) Information provided to the American People and International Governing Bodies in regards to the War
4) The legalities of any charges and subsequent conviction of ousted Iraq President Saddam Hussein. Common sense leads me to question the validity of these charges of incidents occurring in 1982. This being the 2nd time the U.S has waged War based on these charges. Secondly, allegations that Iraq possessed WMD which was used to justify the 2nd Iraq War was found to be false, therefore one would induce charges being brought against Saddam Hussein are at the least questionable. How can any of these charges be justified unless ALL the citizens of Iraq can participate in a stable Democratic Government in order to justly prosecute Saddam. How can these charges be justified when the American government is guided by faulty intelligence. And how can these charges be justified when the American President’s motives, ethics and credibility are in question. And if you are an American and you tell me Justice does not matter in War then I will call you a traitor to our Constitution.
5) The War on Terror. This War is against our true enemy, however the War in Iraq has diverted our focus, money, military, intelligence, capital, and diplomatic resources from the true War on Terror. Now our closet ally Great Britain has recently experienced multiple terrorist attacks. And frankly, paraphrasing the words of British Prime Minister Tony Blair “an attack against Great Britain is an attack against America“.
Below is a summary and excerpts from an essay entitled:
How the Weak Win Wars
“With the U.S. military engaged in armed conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan, Ivan Arreguin-Toft’s How the Weak Win Wars is a timely contribution to the ongoing debate over U.S. defense strategy in the post-September 11 security environment. First, Arreguin- Toft provides a well structured discussion of existing theories in the literature on how weaker actors have won wars against substantially more powerful states and articulates his own hypothesis to explain this phenomenon, which he calls “strategic interaction theory.”

He postulates that intuition would tell us “power matters most,” but notes that history tells us otherwise. In fact, not only have weak actors had sporadic successes in asymmetric conflicts, but the trend of their successes is increasing.

His argument is constructed on the premise that there are four competing explanations for weak victory in asymmetric wars, each of which has weaknesses in predicting outcomes or explaining the trend of increasing weak actor victories. The first of these hypotheses focuses on the nature of the actors. In this theory, authoritarian strong actors are said to have a greater probability of success in asymmetric conflict because they tend to lack the political vulnerability of a democracy. The second theory states that the diffusion of arms, particularly since the Second World War, has closed the aggregate power gap between weak and strong. In other words, even a weak power has a chance of success when equipped with modern weaponry. The third theory is that of interest asymmetry, which asserts that asymmetric wars tend to be fought with limited means for limited ends by the strong actor, but with unlimited means for the unlimited ends by the weak. Theoretically this interest asymmetry is more important to the outcome than relative power.

The final competing explanation is Arreguin- Toft’s own theory of strategic interaction. He postulates that the interaction of the strategies employed by the actors in an asymmetric conflict is the most likely predictor of outcome. His method of proof begins by dividing military strategy into two general categories. These categories are direct, such as conventional attack or defense, and indirect, such as counter-insurgency or guerilla warfare. His thesis is that when asymmetric actors employ similar strategies, as in the cases of direct versus direct or indirect versus indirect, the conflict favors the strong. On the contrary, when the strategies are of dissimilar types, the conflict favors the weak. The bulk of How the Weak Win Wars is dedicated to five case studies chosen from the statistical sampling. They include the Russo- Murid War of 1830- 1859, the Boer War, the Italo- Ethiopian War of 1935 - 1940, the Vietnam War, and the Afghan Civil War of the 1980’s.
Finally, he refers to the current conflict in Iraq as a “costly quagmire.” Arreguin- Toft means to convince the reader that when the very strong meet the weak in asymmetric armed conflict, strategy matters more than power. His work is extremely relevant in the current geopolitical context and serves as a warning to US policy makers to get military strategy right, regardless of relative power. Arreguin- Toft’s argument makes perfectly clear the perilous consequences of neglecting the importance of strategic interaction. ( Excerpts taking from a Review Essay found in the Harvard International Review Vol. 27 # 2, pg. 78 ) ”

My Opinion: In brief, we must give the Iraq People control of their nation immediately. This move would exemplify true Democracy, furthermore our Homeland is in jeopardy of being attacked. All resources must be kept here. America is a Democracy, and the People of our great nation bound by our very citizenry are not simply obligated to choose but we are called as Americans to higher standards in War, in Peace, in Justice, in our Democracy, and in the Respect of All Life. When we abandon these our very core beliefs we become weak and adhering to an ideology of terrorism ourselves. In this end we may very well loose the War in Iraq when its citizens smell a whiff of true Democracy and gain strength in the real hope of the sovereignty of their country.

FBI Keeps Files on Average Americans

People say that there have been no violations in regards to the FBI’s and the Police’s usage of new provisions found within the Patriot Act. I strongly beg to differ. The FBI has confirmed that it is maintaining files on non-profit organizations. Organizations whose missions are purely Civic and Humanitarian.

Are they doing this because these organizations tend to be composed of Americans that possess a more liberal and compassionate social perspective? Unjustly targeting & profiling American citizens subjecting them to undue surveillance and in the end wasting tax payer dollars. What is the intent & motivation for keeping these files? We know that the White House uses unethical practices to push its agenda. Then can we assume that an arm of government working below the White House will follow this lead; I believe so. Could we assume that President Bush ordered the surveillance of certain non-profits and citizens simply because they disagree with his political philosophy?

This is what I believe and what I believe level headed Americans also believe A Russian phrase says “the Fish rots from the Head.” In other words corruption starts from the Top down.

Many of these groups you may be affiliated with (like the ACLU & Green peace), I wonder if the FBI has a file on you? Unfortunately with all the new provisions for secret operations we will never know.

Justice and Due Process are constant no matter the time: Peace or War. We must repeal all laws passed since 9/11 impeding on the rights of American citizens.
