Developing A new prayer Based Upon Matthew 18:18 - 20
Developing A new prayer Based on Matthew 18:18 - 20. The blog is open to input; the wording is so powerful. What I am working on may become a poem or a new prayer. And it is insignificant if supported by any organized denomination or not. Below is my variation on the verse. A recent movie my partner and I watched pictured a clergy of old challenging a pagan God to strike him by lightening for changing to the new Christian faith; my steadfastness on the Holy Bible is no such challenge. Praying for strengthened faith and peace throughout the world.
Matthew 18:18 - 20
"I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, the precious of Jesus, there am I with them in them mists if must be." Matthew 18:18 - 20
We do not lose time nor achievements due to setbacks
"The question I asked was do people loose time after a setback? Material recognition do not make a person just as hair does not the person. Confidence, faith and a rebellious spirt are powerful. " - A.T. Yoda Brooks
"Whether people lose "time" after a relapse is a matter of personal perspective and program-specific rules, especially in the context of addiction recovery groups.
- Program-Specific View: Some 12-step programs or recovery communities might emphasize restarting a "sober time clock" after a relapse, viewing sobriety as continuous abstinence. Earning milestones like sobriety chips is often linked to continuous days without substance use.
- Personal Perspective: For many individuals, the decision to restart their sober clock is a personal one. Some might see their time spent sober as still valid, even after a relapse, viewing recovery as a process rather than a strict timeline. Others might choose to restart their clock as a way to acknowledge the relapse and recommit to sobriety.
- Loss of Knowledge and Progress: While the concept of losing "sober time" is subjective, it's important to note that a relapse doesn't erase the knowledge and skills gained during the period of sobriety. Individuals can still learn from the relapse and continue their recovery journey.
- The Importance of Learning from Relapse: Relapse is often considered a part of the recovery process, providing an opportunity for learning and growth. Recognizing the patterns and triggers that led to the relapse can help individuals develop better coping mechanisms and prevent future relapses.
- Addiction and Memory: Addiction can significantly impact memory, affecting both short-term and long-term memory. This can lead to difficulties recalling recent events or even experiencing blackouts.
- Relapse Triggers: Drug-associated memories can play a strong role in triggering cravings and potentially leading to relapse. Exposure to familiar places, people, or objects related to past substance use can trigger these memories, making it difficult for individuals to resist the urge to use.
- Cognitive Control and Relapse: Research suggests that impairments in cognitive control, including working memory, can increase the likelihood of relapse.

Anti-Trump No Kings protests flood American streets ahead of military parade
This is a national movement Checks & Balances blogspot unapologetically supports. I attended the peaceful rally in St. Petersburg , FL on June 14, 2025. What was lost was not diversity which was sufficiently represented but this was historically already USA Flag Day! I am not offended by persons who fly the Trump Country flags when they do such asserting that above the stars & strips the official flag of the United States of America that goes beyond politics. Fly them together is they must! Proudly supporting democracy freedom while opposing extremism and damn politicly zealots. A lengthy video of the event can be found under not just my instagram but that of other peaceful activists. Peace, love and unity. - A. T. Yoda Brooks
"No Kings protests rippled peacefully across dozens of cities, both in the U.S. and overseas, to stand against the Trump administration's large-scale military parade on Saturday. But they came against the backdrop of apparent political violence in Minnesota, where a state lawmaker was killed in her home.
Organizers estimated that more than 5 million people participated in more 2,000 planned protests, according to spokesperson Eunic Ortiz. Events were also held in Germany and France, according to the AP. While protests were peaceful, police in Culpeper, Va., arrested a man who "intentionally accelerated his vehicle into the dispersing crowd," at the end of a protest. One person was hit, but no one was hurt, police said."

Developing Extra Life Charity Gaming Team
Developing Extra Life Charity Gaming Team
We're on a mission to play games to help change kids' health. We've each chosen our local Children's Miracle Network Hospital. With 170 hospitals to choose from, each location treats thousands of kids annually, regardless of their illness, injury or family's ability to pay. This particular group is an adult PC team with the goal of raising funds for worthy youth charity cause (not with the ranked competition series), that being said here's additional information. ALL Children's Hospital St. Petersburg, Florida is the eve benefiting non-profit. Haha during this forming year there is no interaction with the youth we will support which is not essential for the purpose of this charity and/or partnership effort. The launch date is no longer than November 2025. As of June 22, 2025 the id is concept stage not yet completed nor put onto a practice schedule.
The Team organizer Grumps Yoda on the Nexus (not gramps) advice is not to rushing formation of the group in its initial year to be played on the Blizzard gaming platform Heroes of the Strom.
Please reach out for interest to atyodabrooks@gmail.com. Peace, love and unity.

Repeat Verse Even During Pride Month
From a speck a dust to being created in the image of God. Upon this rock I shall build the church the verse cannot leave the climate of discussion during this heated summer of 2025! Not a rallying call to build a new church remembering our legacy as a faith ; I am just a believer. I pray that tonight nutrition is provided to those who need to muster their faith in the lord God almighty (less meat and more vegetables on our diets people)! Peace and love. The actually Bible verse goes as follows: Matthew 16: 17
Jesus replied, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by man, but by my Father in heaven. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock ........I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it. I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be bond in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven"
This Bible verse
speaks of the power of prayer in faith rather it is written or spoken. If I may
pray for not just myself but the reader of this post hatred released, fear &
anxiety, bigotry released, spirits of depression & adultery released. Family bonds strengthened in spite of ‘complexities’
for prayer in additional to small gestures are sufficient for believers in Jeus
the Christ. Amen - A.T. Yoda Brooks

Speak up youth even to your parents; respectfully. Spare the rod take the rod and throw it if you must!
What I did not like as a teenager was Moms saying you're trying to be white when volunteering with a diverse group right in our very community (unpaid). Where did such talk come from? I have not raised kids, but such talk creates an issue with a kid who is not able to speak up versus such a statement. Flustered I bet that child would be or simply say "What" when they in their heart are doing what is right...period. This is my opinion even thinking when having dinner one a waitress some how just said what she think I will hate. That was not her assumption to make simply from my eye contact with her, as I could eat a variation of pasta any day even vegetarian pasta sauce. I stand by the youth who know what I am talking now as adult. Speak up but respectfully. -A.T. Yoda Brooks

Lead by Love Versus Crisis, Innuendo and War
Lead by Love Versus Crisis, Innuendo and War.
A friend whom recently lost his mom, a former leader, prayed for him during a marvelous mediation service. This same friend & colleague once asserted to me that perhaps throwing a pen or pillow relates to me doing that to a person. He also said that a certain retail store can also be considered the house of God; such a remark might be humorous to some. Not saying his name out of respect. First time I heard that said; much admiration goes out this type of leadership and getting back into the work force after whatever perceived failure. That is strength how now WE learn. "Lead by Love Versus Crisis, Innuendo and War" I don’t believe in hoodoo nor voodoo; that is simply passion and emotion. Wisdom and truth are that Christians do not need to be concerned with such things which were done away with from biblical teachings under the New Testament the word of God, the Bible is the most inspirational book (I have read) our faith and nation are built upon it. A vison perhaps a dream which came to me this tuff fucking week for many people says keep the faith "Under God and for the nation" - A.T. Yoda Brooks

Shiny Star - Always Loyal
“ The theory that observing a system or phenomenon can alter it is known as the observer effect, particularly prominent in quantum mechanics, where the act of measurement inherently influences the system being observed. “
- Quantum Mechanics:In quantum mechanics, the observer effect arises because the act of observation, or measurement, is an interaction that can disturb the quantum system, causing it to change its state.
- Examples:
- Double-Slit Experiment: A classic example is the double-slit experiment, where observing the path of an electron through the slits causes it to behave as a particle, while not observing it allows it to behave as a wave.
- Heisenberg's Uncertainty Principle: This principle states that the more precisely you know the position of a particle, the less precisely you know its momentum (and vice versa), and vice versa.
- Double-Slit Experiment: A classic example is the double-slit experiment, where observing the path of an electron through the slits causes it to behave as a particle, while not observing it allows it to behave as a wave.
- Beyond Physics:The concept of the observer effect extends beyond physics, influencing fields like sociology, psychology, and linguistics, where the act of observing can alter the behavior of the subjects being studied.
- Mitigation:In behavioral studies, researchers use strategies like physiological measures, habituation, naturalistic observation, blinding, computer-based testing, and pilot testing to mitigate the observer effec

Strength of Faith: "Upon this rock scripture says Jesus says "I shall build my church"
"On this raining evening in Florida, yet to be hurricane season I am grateful to have participated in virtual mediation with the spiritual community I consider family. Not questioning this communing with God expressing faith not just solely under Christianity (admiring Budhism) as we pray and serve the same God. "Upon this rock I shall build my church" comes from Matthew 16:18 in the Bible, where Jesus tells Peter, "You are Peter, and on this rock, I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it." When I think of this Bible verse the first question is not the obvious confidence Jesus had in this apostle but the question; was this Peter or Paul? I can go on for the end game is light and life. Stay strong in faith brothers and sisters first above anything else during this era." - A. T. Yoda Brooks

7 Actions You Can Take When A Coworker Throws You Under The Bus - An Economic Approach I oppose
7 Actions You Can Take When A Coworker Throws You Under The Bus (Repost)
"Everyone has had that coworker. You know the coworker who is rude to you when you’re alone but sweet as can be when your manager is in the room. The coworker who purposely “forgets” to tell you critical pieces of information, hoping to make you look incompetent. The coworker who criticizes your ideas and then takes credit for them. It can feel like a knife in the back when you realize your coworker only befriended you to gain your trust so they can take advantage of you later.
If you’re working with someone like this, you’re not alone. A 2022 study from Quality Logo Products found that more than 90% of Americans have a coworker who annoys them, and 57% of people have considered quitting, or left their jobs, because of an annoying coworker.
When a boss or manager steals credit for your work or criticizes you or leaves you in the lurch with a big project, it hurts, but not in the same way as a coworker doing these same things. You and your colleagues are in the trenches together, fighting the good fight every day at work. You tell your coworkers things you would never say to your manager, and they’re supposed to be there to pick up the slack when you’re struggling and vice versa.
This is why it really stings when a coworker makes you look bad. You thought you were on the same team, but they see you as the enemy. If a coworker makes you look bad in front of your manager, here’s what to do:
Step 1. Get All The Facts
Before you talk to your coworker, you want to make sure you have all the information. Take a step back and look at the situation. Is there anything you’re missing? You want to make sure you don’t have tunnel vision, and you’re considering all sides of the situation.
If this is an ongoing issue, make sure you’re taking detailed notes of what’s happening along with the time and day. When you’re talking to your coworker, you can then reference the situations, and knowing exactly what was said on a specific day and time helps strengthen your case. If the situation escalates, you’ll also want specifics to share with your manager or HR.
Step 2. Prepare And Practice
Once you have all the information, the next step is to write out what you’re going to say to your coworker. If you’re really struggling with anger regarding this situation, it might be worthwhile to write out a “this is really what I want to say to you” letter - don’t send it! This is a good way to process your feelings, especially when you’re feeling stuck.
CEO: C-suite news, analysis, and advice for top decision makers right to your inbox.
Once you know what you’re going to say, ask a friend to listen so you can practice saying it out loud. Your friend can also give you feedback on how you’re coming across and if there is anything you need to modify.
Step 3. Give Your Coworker A Heads-Up
While your coworker didn’t give you any notice before they threw you under the bus, you’re not going to play that game. Let your coworker know you would like to talk about something, and you would like to know when would be a good time to meet. If they want to talk right there and then, don’t give in; let them know this is private and not something you can just talk about in the break room.
Step 4. Have The Talk
Before you have the talk, take a few minutes to set your intention. What are you hoping to achieve by talking to your coworker? Do you want an apology? Do you simply want to let them know you’re aware of what’s happening and it needs to stop? Having a clear intention before you go into a conversation will help you present yourself in the way in which you intended.
When you talk to your coworker, be clear, direct and concise. Don’t add in more information than you need to make your point, and focus on the facts. If they try to interrupt you, let them know you want to finish your thought, and then they can respond. Your blood may be boiling inside, but you want to remain calm and reassured.
Step 5. Be Prepared For Anything
In an ideal world, your coworker would apologize profusely and tell you they’ll never do it again, and they only did it because you’re so amazing and they feel intimidated. Most likely they’ll get defensive and try to argue their point or tell you you’re mistaken. If they get defensive and want to argue, that’s fine, you’re just not going to engage.
Let your coworker know you’ve said what you want to say, and the next time it happens, you’re going to take it to your manager. If they try to gaslight you and make you think it didn’t happen or they didn’t mean it that way, you can pull out your notes with the time, day and the specific comment (this is why you keep detailed notes!) and ask them what they meant to say. Unless they have an amazing memory, they’re not going to be able to “trick” you into thinking you misunderstood or misheard the comment.
Use your good communication skills, which means only “I” statements. Don’t make accusations or threats. Let your coworker know how these comments impact you and highlight your concerns about this being an ongoing problem.
Step 6. Practice Empathy
You and your coworker are going to have to continue to work together, which means you can’t outright hate them or work will become really miserable. As much as we want the people who hurt us to feel our anger and resentment, it doesn’t work that way. Your anger only hurts you and keeps you stuck and bitter, and you don’t want to live like that.
The best way to deal with people you don’t like is to practice empathy. Empathy is putting yourself in someone else’s shoes and seeing the world through their eyes. Why do you think this coworker feels the need to put you down? Maybe they’re really jealous of you because your manager likes you more, maybe you remind them of someone they hate who once really hurt them, or maybe they’re miserable at home because they’re going through a divorce.
It actually doesn’t really matter if you know the truth behind your coworker’s behavior. What matters is how you see it, and if you can see the humanity in your coworker, you’ll be able to make peace with the situation.
When all else fails, come from a place of gratitude. If you're having a hard time empathizing at the moment, you can always be grateful for this opportunity to grow and get this experience of learning to communicate more effectively and to stand up for yourself. Without this coworker, you wouldn't have had this opportunity.
Step 7. Protect Yourself In The Future
Your coworker has shown you who they are, which means you need to start to protect yourself moving forward. Be mindful not to leave your computer open and on when you’re not around, and if your coworkers know your password or where your password is written down, change it and keep that information where only you can access it. Choose your words wisely when you send emails, texts, or slack messages, as well as in-person conversations.
Don’t be paranoid and avoid your coworkers altogether because it's important for you to have good relationships with everyone. You just need to be more aware of what you share with certain people. Don’t share information with anyone that you don’t completely trust. Trust takes time, so if you’re at a new job or if there is a new hire, don’t automatically assume every coworker has the same intentions. Even though you spend many hours each week with your coworkers, it doesn’t mean they’re all going to be your friends. These boundaries are important whether your coworker is trying to make you look bad or not.
A good coworker can make a day at work feel like a day at Disneyland. Good coworkers lift you up, pitch in when you need help, and are always there with the best advice. Don’t let one bad coworker turn you off from building great work relationships because they’re invaluable. At the end of the day, you can only control your emotions, actions and responses to your coworkers. By showing up every day as a ‘good coworker,’ you’re modeling the way you want to be treated, and by standing up for yourself (through the steps listed above) when you have to work with that one person who drives you crazy, you’re building your confidence and standing out as a leader.

Programs to Support: Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF)
The below is taking from student aid which traditionally falls under the U.S. Department of Education which I cannot speak for nor work for at the present time. Completing this program was not just long term educational and economic plan; such policy millions of U.S. public servants rely on this promise by the government. If the honorable President J. Biden did anything right in addition to decades of distinguished service it was pushing through student loan forgiveness initiatives. Today's mantra is: Peace, love, & honor. - A.T. Yoda Brooks
" Executive Order About the PSLF Program
We are reviewing the recent Executive Order regarding the Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) Program. There are no changes to PSLF currently, and borrowers do not need to take any action.
If you’re employed by a government or not-for-profit organization, you might be eligible for the PSLF Program. The PSLF Program forgives the remaining balance on your Direct Loans
after you’ve made the equivalent of 120 qualifying monthly payments under an accepted repayment plan, and
while working full-time for an eligible employer.
How to Apply for PSLF
To be considered for PSLF, you only need to submit a PSLF form. The easiest way to do this is by using the PSLF Help Tool. The PSLF Help Tool allows you to:
Check to see if your employer is already in our employer database.
Request that your employer’s eligibility be reviewed if it is not already in our database or has not yet had its eligibility determined.
Prepare and sign your PSLF form, and request certification and signature from your employer—all electronically.
Generate your PSLF form for manual signature and submission.
Top tip: Certify your employment every year and any time you change employers. This lets you confirm you’re on track toward forgiveness.
Qualifying for PSLF
To qualify for PSLF, you must
be employed by a U.S. federal, state, local, or tribal government or qualifying not-for-profit organization (federal service includes U.S. military service);
work full-time for that agency or organization;
repay your loans under an income-driven repayment plan or a 10-year Standard Repayment Plan; and
make a total of 120 qualifying monthly payments that need not be consecutive.
Note: Upon reaching 120 qualifying payments while preparing your final PSLF form certifying your employment, make sure that the employment period is checked as “still employed” or certified (signed) by your employer in the same month as your employment end date.
Qualifying Employment
Qualifying employment for PSLF isn’t about the specific job that you do for your employer—it’s about who you work for. Use our employer search tool to see if your employer qualifies for PSLF.
Which Employer Types Are Eligible
Eligible | Ineligible |
---|---|
|
|
Note: Serving as a full-time AmeriCorps or Peace Corps volunteer also counts as qualifying employment for the PSLF Program.
A Message for Employers
Have you received a request to certify and digitally sign an employee’s PSLF form? Borrowers seeking to benefit from PSLF are required to submit a PSLF form that verifies their employer and the dates of employment. Support your employee(s): learn how to complete the certification and signature process.
Full-time Employment
For PSLF, full-time employment is working for a qualifying employer(s) for a weekly average, alone or when combined, equal to at least 30 hours:
during the period being certified;
throughout a contractual or employment period of at least 8 months in a year, such as elementary and secondary school teachers, in which case the borrower is deemed to have worked full time for the entire year; or
determined by multiplying each credit or contact hour taught per week by at least 3.35 in non-tenure track employment at an institution of higher education.
Routine paid vacation or paid leave time provided by an employer, and leave taken under the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 (29 U.S.C. 2612(a)(1)) is to be included when determining if you are working full-time.
Time spent on religious instruction, worship services, or any form of proselytizing as a part of your job responsibilities should be included when determining if you are working full-time.
However, time spent providing volunteer work or services for which you are not paid should not be included when determining if you are working full-time.
Eligible Loans
Any loan received under the William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan (Direct Loan) Program qualifies for PSLF.
Eligible | Ineligible |
---|---|
|
|
While a Direct PLUS loan made to a parent borrower is eligible for PSLF, it cannot be paid via a qualifying repayment plan (other than the 10-year standard repayment plan or a plan where the payment is equal or greater than the 10-year standard plan) unless it is first consolidated into a Direct Consolidation Loan.
FFEL and Perkins loans may become eligible if you consolidate them into a Direct Consolidation Loan.
Payment Credits on Consolidation Loans
If you consolidate your loans on or after September 1, 2024, the qualifying payments made on the Direct Loans (other loan types will not be considered) included in your consolidation loan will be credited to your consolidation loan using a weighted average of those payments. Borrowers are strongly encouraged to certify all their qualifying employment applicable to the loans before they are consolidated to ensure that weighted average is correctly applied.
For example, a borrower with 60 qualifying payments on a Direct Loan with a balance of $30,000 who consolidates their loan with another Direct Loan with a balance of $30,000 with zero qualifying payments will have a new qualifying payment count of 30 payments credited to the new consolidation loan.
As part of the payment count adjustment, ED will allow qualifying payments from all loans included in a Direct Consolidation Loan, including FFEL Program and Perkins loans, to contribute toward the qualifying payment count on the Direct Consolidation Loan. The payment count adjustment will not use a weighted average. See the payment count adjustment for additional details.
Because of recent changes to the law, borrowers will be able to separate joint consolidation loans. We’re working on implementing these changes and will provide updates on our Joint Consolidation Loan Separation News page.
Qualifying Payments
A qualifying monthly payment is one you make while employed full-time by a qualifying employer (after October 1, 2007) at any time during that month
while under a qualifying repayment plan, and
for the full amount due as shown on your bill; or
when you are in one of the accepted types of deferments or forbearance at any time during that month.
Note: as a result of the CARES Act, months that you were in repayment while the requirement to make a payment was paused, count as qualifying payments if you also certify your employment for the same period of time.
Your 120 qualifying monthly payments don’t need to be consecutive. For example, if you have a period of employment with a nonqualifying employer, you will not lose the payment counts for prior qualifying payments you made.
The best way to ensure that you are making on-time, complete payments is to sign up for automatic debit with your loan servicer.
Which deferments and forbearances count as qualifying payments?
Qualifying Repayment Plans
Qualifying repayment plans include all income-driven repayment (IDR) plans (plans that base your monthly payment on your income and household size) and the 10-year Standard Repayment Plan.
There are several IDR plans:
Income-Based Repayment (IBR) Plan
Income-Contingent (ICR) Plan
Pay As You Earn (PAYE) Plan
Saving on a Valuable Education (SAVE) Plan
While payments made under the 10-year Standard Repayment Plan are qualifying payments, you might have to change to an IDR plan to benefit from PSLF. Under the 10-year Standard Repayment Plan, generally your loans will be paid in full once you have made 120 qualifying PSLF payments so there would be no balance left to forgive unless periods of qualifying deferments or forbearances are included in your 120 qualifying payments.
Not all borrowers qualify for every IDR plan. Your monthly payment amount could increase under these plans, depending on your income. You could pay off your loan before qualifying for forgiveness depending on the amount that you owe. Use the Loan Simulator to review your options.
The following repayment plans do not qualify for PSLF:
While these plans do not qualify under PSLF, these plans are eligible for the Temporary Expanded PSLF (TEPSLF) opportunity.
PSLF Process
Because you have to make 120 qualifying monthly payments, it will take at least 10 years before you can qualify for PSLF.
Important: You must still be working for a qualifying employer at the time you submit your form for forgiveness.
Whether you have made 120 qualifying payments, or not, you should fill out and submit the PSLF form annually or whenever you change employers. Otherwise, you’ll have to submit PSLF forms for each employer you worked for all at once. It could become difficult to contact those employers after such a long time or you could discover that some of your employers do not qualify.
Either way, we’ll use the information you provide on the form to let you know if you are making qualifying PSLF payments. This will help you determine if you’re on the right track as early as possible.
PSLF Form Process and Contact Info
We will process your PSLF form and determine how many qualifying payments you made during the employment period on your form and you’ll receive a letter telling you the number of qualifying payments you have made. Log in to StudentAid.gov and go to My Aid in your Dashboard to see your PSLF progress.
The number of qualifying payments you have made will be updated only when you submit another PSLF form that documents a new period of qualifying employment.
Once your cumulative total of qualifying payments reaches 120, we will confirm your eligibility and work with your servicer to forgive your remaining balance.
How to Submit the PSLF Form
You can submit the PSLF form digitally through the PSLF Help Tool or manually, using a paper form. Open the sections below to read more.
