Mike Brown Plays the Blame Game

After comments and the incompetent lack of action in the Katrina aftermath by Former FEMA Director Michael Brown I am convinced not only that he but possibly Secretary Chertoff and President Bush need to be Fired.

In addition, President Bush has proposed literally nullifying the role of FEMA in national disasters and putting the Dept. of Defense & the Military in charge. I personally disagree with this approach. Civilian Organizations need to coordinate relief efforts, and the military should assist at their request. Civilians should always be directly in charge especially in matters of dealing with the protection of our Homeland. Why, because Government Agencies have direct involvement from the Public and can be more easily held accountable. The Military does not have to operate under such standards.

Please feel free to discuss this issue on Checks & Balances.

You Decide and Tell the Government How you feel.
